We are proud to honor Wayne M. Osten, MPA, Senior Vice President and Director of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System with the 2013 Healthcare Leaders of New York Award of Distinction.
Wayne M. Osten, MPA, is the Senior Vice President and Director of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and brings over 30 years of healthcare regulatory, planning and management experience.
He is responsible for the direction and oversight of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System – one of the largest non-profit healthcare systems in the United States with 29 general acute care hospitals, nursing homes and specialty institutions. He also is responsible for regulatory planning activities for New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Prior to joining the Healthcare System in 2005, Mr. Osten was the Director of the Office of Health Systems Management for the New York State Department of Health where he had principal responsibility for the regulation and oversight of healthcare facilities in New York State, including healthcare financing, planning and inspection. He also served in various management positions with the Department of Health including a ten year period as the Director of Hospital Services. Mr. Osten obtained his undergraduate degree from Rider University and his MPA for State University of New York at Albany’s Rockefeller School of Public Affairs.
