Committee Profile
HLNY’s Membership Committee is responsible for recruiting new members and orienting them to the organization, ensuring that existing members are engaged in the activities of the organization and making sure that seasoned members are enabled with the tools to enrich their careers through advancement opportunities. In addition, the Membership Committee works with organizations throughout the New York City Metropolitan region by offering valuable sponsorship opportunities for their employees.
There are over 1,400+ HLNY members and the Committee has developed specific programs for all members of the organization.

- Become a Member - HLNY has a step by step guide on how to become a member of HLNY. Please visit Become a Member to learn more. Submit your contact information and one of our Committee Leaders will contact you with more information.
- Attend your first event free of charge! – Contact our Membership Team to obtain a special code to which will allow you to register for an upcoming HLNY event. This offer is open to all member referrals, potential members, and non-members.
- Ambassador Program - New members are assigned an “ambassador” who will welcome them to the organization, answer questions and help navigate the organization to optimize their membership experience.
- Mentor Program – At their request, members can be assigned to an experienced healthcare professional who will provide career advice and be a resource for new work related ideas. The goal is to foster long-term mutually beneficial relationships for both the mentee and mentor and not for the purposes of job placement. Contact a Committee Leader for more information.
- Refer a Friend Program – Help us in becoming the largest official chapter of ACHE! Through our Refer-A-Friend program, you are welcome to invite a non-HLNY member to one event for free. When registering, your guest will use code 429-CFA. Refer 15+ guests to attend an event and join ACHE/HLNY and receive a $200 gift certificate from the Apple Store.

- Advancement - The premier certification for healthcare executives is obtaining the status of Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. HLNY provides numerous opportunities and training programs each year that help prepare members for this important test. Contact a Committee Leader for more information on current programs and dates.
