Do you know someone who merits the HLNY Scholarship?
The HLNY Student Services provides a variety of opportunities for students seeking future careers in the field of healthcare management. Opportunities include a creative student internship program, speaker’s bureau and a scholarship program available to students of higher education institutions.
In addition, HLNY will offer students guidance as they make their career transition from college to the healthcare management profession. Students are encouraged to attend student focus events as well as monthly programs to network with seasoned executives.
"As a student member, I became active in HLNY and was able to build relationships with colleagues in nearly every hospital in the region. The network I built through HLNY was a significant asset to my job search post-grad school."
— Mary Enquist, MPH, Associate Director, Public and Managed Care Payment Reform, NYU Langone Medical Center.
Students’ access posted internship projects through HLNY’s electronic bulletin board, then communicate directly with the responsible department head of the healthcare facility. HLNY Internship experience provides the opportunity for students to integrate theory and practice as a key participant in the “In-house” healthcare project management team.
During 2009, several students successfully completed the project based “in-house” internship program in conjunction with their educational institution.
