Greetings HLNY Membership

I am honored to serve as your 2012 HLNY Chapter President. I will strive to continue the excellent Chapter progress provided by our immediate Past-President Chantal Volel-Torres, while positioning the organization for the future. Please join me in congratulating the incoming 2012 HLNY Board and acknowledging the hard work and contributions of the outgoing 2011 Board in an award winning year of accomplishments. I gratefully acknowledge the previous HLNY leadership, our founding organizations – MHAA, WHN, HVHE, our corporate sponsors and ACHE. Their contributions have enabled HLNY to support your professional development.

Your HLNY 2012 Board is dedicated to providing programs and services relevant to your professional development. This next year's focus will be on:

• Enhancing the Member experience
• Connecting with Clinical Leaders to respond to healthcare reform challenges
• Honoring our chapter traditions and supporting the future

I encourage you to make your membership a meaningful investment of your professional time through:

• Attending programs and networking events
• Volunteering for a committee or community service program
• Becoming board-certified - take the Board of Governor’s exam
• Bringing a Colleague to a program
• Sharing how HLNY might help your organization prepare future leaders

HLNY's mission is to be the premier professional organization for healthcare executives in Metropolitan New York, through advancing healthcare leadership and the goals of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
